Australian country music’s night of nights, the 38th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia, belonged to TROY CASSAR-DALEY who walked away with a total of 6 Awards for his ARIA Award winning album, I Love this Place. The impressive win brings Troy’s cumulative total of “Golden Guitar” trophies to 20.
The country music singer/songwriter, who was a finalist in 8 Awards’ categories in total, won Album of the Year (co-produced with Rod and Jeff McCormack), Male Artist of the Year, APRA Song of the Year and Single of the Year (both for Big Big Love), Heritage Song of the Year for Chasin’ Rodeo and Vocal Collaboration of the Year for Ain’t Gonna Change For You with THE McCLYMONTS.
On Saturday December 5 Troy performed at the Brisbane Carols at River Stage. It was a great night. These shots were taken by Clay, Troy's son. Troy performed Let The Baby Be King, Away In A Manger and his new Christmas song We Want To Share Christmas With You, which is available on the Spirit Of Christmas album through Myer stores.
On Thursday night, Troy was presented with his 4th career ARIA award for 2009’s Best Country Album ‘I Love This Place’.
Troy is thrilled to bits and would like to pass on his huge thanks to everyone for their support of him throughout his career and for his latest album ‘I Love This Place’.

Troy catches up with Kate Cook
On Tuesday October 20th Troy popped out to Lowood to surprise Kate Cook on her home visit. Kate is in the top 6 of 2009 Australian Idol and a massive fan of Troy's. Troy has been keeping in touch with Kate to offer her support through her idol journey. It was a great morning with Kate and Troy performing a couple of songs together...including Big Big Love! Go Kate!
