New single release “I Love This Place”
It’s no secret that Troy Cassar-Daley is proud of the land he was born in and – unlike so many others – has had the opportunity to see plenty of it and he intends to see plenty more.
Whether casting a fishing line out on some river or beach, driving down a highway to another gig way out back at a remote station or settlement, heading up to the farm with his own family or down to his Mums, Troy takes genuine pleasure in travelling around the country the he was born in.
But ‘this place’ he writes and sings of in his new single is not just a geographical location, but also a very spiritual and emotional place in which Troy finds himself at 40 years young..
• Troy has won numerous awards including 14 Golden Guitars, 3 ARIAs, 7 Deadlys (Indigenous artist awards) and 4 CMAA Entertainer of the Year awards.
• Achieved the honor of being the most awarded recipient of the Male Artist of the Year in Golden Guitar in history
• Won the 2008 Country Music Association of America Country Music Global Artist Award
• Won the 2008 APRA Country Song of the Year
• Sold almost a quarter of a million albums and has had 16 #1 singles
And with the nominations just announced for the 2010 ARIA Awards we can only hope there’s room on the mantelpiece for Best County Album for which his most recent recording I Love This Place has been nominated.
‘I Love This Place’ cd pro and intimate new video clip is being serviced to national media week commencing Monday October 19th 2009.
