Troy Cassar-Daley Stocks Up in Roma!
Troy transformed Roma Saleyards last week when he dropped in to help brand the Stock Up for Hope cattle and meet supporters of the Charity Drove.
Roma-based sponsors Elders, Landmark, Rabobank and Santos enjoyed rubbing shoulders with the star.
Troy said that Stock Up for Hope was a charity close to his heart and was looking forward to performing with his band at the Gala Dinner on October 13.
“Stock Up for Hope is something we are doing to help our next generation – and there is no bigger investment in my books!”
“In a situation at school when my kids may need some advice and I can’t be there…enter their school chaplain – a neutral person with good morals who has earned the kids’ trust. It can be the difference between a child making the right and wrong decision.”
“Our kids are our future and in the bush they face more adversity than their city counterparts.
“Young people in regional areas are facing a barrage of issues from from isolation, depression through family breakdowns and face situations with their families that are dire, due to continuing drought conditions throughout Australia.”
Roma State High School chaplain, Jason Attwood, said the senior students enjoyed a special mini-concert of Troy singing with his guitar.
“It went down really well – the kids and the teachers had a great time. Troy answered questions about his career and shared about how the chaplain at his kids’ school is making a difference.”
Gala Dinner tickets are selling out fast, with less than 150 tickets still available.
Tickets are $100/ per person or $800 for table of eight. For bookings, contact Maria Lamari on 0417 003 329 or drove@stockupforhope.org.au.
