Hi everyone, Tamworth was amazing for us and thanks to everyone for their messages of congratulations. The show was sold out early and we had some wonderful friends drop in to be special guests on the day which makes this show very special….and to walk away with 6 golden guitars well that was absolutely magic..

We hit the road again this Sunday Feb 14th when we perform at Whittlesea, I am really looking forward to getting back there…next stop is the Hallam Hotel on Monday 15th, Wellers at Kangaroo Ground on the 17th, Bairnsdale on the 18th, Warragul on the 19th, Lake Charlegrak Festival on the 20th and back to Wonthaggi on the 21st……it will be a great run, only a couple of tickets left, it will be great to see everyone and the show features Felicity Urquhart as my special guest, Fliss took out the Golden Guitar for Female Artist of the Year which we were all so excited about, she is class all the way, and Luke Austen is the new Star Maker, Luke plays in my band and has for 7 years…so the show is a lot of fun…can’t wait to see you all….regards TCD

Hi all and great to talk to you again,
This last year has really flown and I just don’t know where its gone!
The I love this place tour has rolled through many states and territories and I have really enjoyed my time out on the road playing all the new songs from the record.
We have been driving all over Australia in a couple of great Hyundai cars one is a Sant-Fe and the other was an I-max heaps of room and great fuel economy which makes touring a bit more affordable these days.
We have been through NSW up the north coast, around Newcastle Cessnock, up to the Northern Territory (Clay caught his first Barra on that trip!! And Brian Young came up for a ride as well which was great.)
Down aroud the cold country of Canberra, Cooma and Goulburn. Played the Gympie muster the Deni ute muster drove from Brisbane to Cairns on a NTH QLD tour had a ball. Went out to a great charity gig in Roma (stock up for hope) that was very cool to see people dig in for a great cause as well.
I played at the pro bull riding at the Gold coast, went up through the new England area playing Tamworth, Armidale and Gunndedah, headed back to Coffs harbour (what a place) north Haven and Ballina…. just great people everywhere we went.
And to top it all off I had a chance to have a surf again and what a feeling that was I must do it more often
as it really recharges the batteries.
All in all its been a pleasure this year playing to all who came out.
The band has been such a pleasure to be with Luke, Vaughan, Mik, Michael, Dan, Little Dan, Damon, Heath, Hippie and scott. Also having Felicity Urquhart with me on the road was a real treat she is a great performer and really knows how to entertain.
I hope to see you all next year around the second leg of the tour for “I love this place”

And welcome to my blog. I have been very slack of late with my site being on the road has been great but I don’t get near a computer very often.

So firstly thanks to all who have seen the show this year the I love this place tour has been such a thrill to take everywhere and we still have some more miles to go next year! So keep and eye on the dates here on my site to see where we head next.

Playing the songs from the new record has been amazing my band Luke Austen (Bass vocals), Vaughan Jones (keys vocals), Mick McCartin (drums vocals) and Scott Hills (drums) have played the songs so well all over the country and made me really proud.

We have tried some new tour cars this year that are made by Hyudai we have loved the Santa-Fe vehicles and we have just found the best touring van in the world the Hyundai I-Max they are both great on fuel and you can stack a heap of gear in them as well!!
